Input Builders for ASP.NET MVC in the works

Eric Hexter has started a multi-part series on Opinionated Input Builders.  They are expression-based, meaning they eliminate the need for most strings for Html Helpers in your views.  They look like this:

<%=Html.Input(x=>x.FirstName)%>

And the output on the screen is:

First Name*: ______________ ex:John

Eric is collecting feedback and opinions now because this will eventually go into MvcContrib.  It is being tested on a few small, low-risk projects at Headspring Systems to ensure that they suit a general need.

fyi, people make fun of you for putting "subscribe to my feed" crap in your posts. This one is especially hilarious because you're posting about someone else's posts.

In case you haven't noticed, you have a massive "Subscribe" box on your page that should cover you.

@afriend: (name please?)

I have about 7 sites around the internet that have a bot that automatically snipes my posts and posts them on their site.

and?

if you really must combat the evil blog rippers i'd suggest:

1) put the link at the bottom of your post

2) change the wording to indicate this is what you're doing

3) put it in a div with a class and display:none it with css on your site

4) link back to your site, ideally with the title and permalink for the post itself. This would help increase your pagerank which should already be high enough that blogrippers don't matter, but if you think there's a problem then hey why not.
