Big Visible Cruise on the Big Screen

In one of our projects, I purchased a 50" big-screen television on which to display build statuses.  With the popularity of HD TVs, I was able to purchase one without defect for $180.00.  This TV is set up in the room to give build status to everyone in the room.  Here is a picture of the TV from the developer pod.    We are using BigVisibleCruise in full-screen mode.

Inspired by Jeffrey Palermo’s recent post , I figured it was time to finish my post on our “ information

No red parts on the screen in that pic. Impressive! :-)

Nice revival. When I saw the price in my rss reader, I thought it was a typo...then I opened the details and saw the dinosaur.

What program are you using for that view? Did you write your own cc monitor?

Yeah, I'm interested in what you are using to monitor the status. We use TeamCity, and would love to throw something like that up on our 42" monitors which are normally playing crap daytime TV (I work for a TV entity - BBC :) )

Thanks for the update, I'll check out the project.

Hi Jeff,

Very nice!

Is there any way to configure the BigVisibleCruise to show who broke the build. So, that person can buy donuts the next day.

Thanks for posting Jeff. I love to see pics of BVC being used.

@Mohammad: There's a patch that is setting in the queue for me to review that shows who broke the build. I haven't applied it yet. I need to look and see if it's exposed by the latest drop of Cruise.

Nice, may have to find some old large monitors to put on this since we use CruiseControl.Net and all.

@Mohammed You can do this now.

If using CCNet, you need version 1.4.3 or above and you will need BigVisibleCruise2 (a "fork" of Ben's original version) - at .

With BVC2 you can also setup photos/images of the build breaker to show on the screen using the new skin "StackPhoto"
